    Community

We are a small rural primary school with the community at its heart.  We believe that being part of a community fosters a sense of belonging, social connection, and respect for our surroundings.  Through community projects and partnerships, we provide practical, real-world learning opportunities that connect classroom lessons to real-life experiences.

Participating in community activities helps pupils understand citizenship, their rights and responsibilities and how society is organised. Pupils can make a positive impact on their local area through various efforts, from small daily actions to larger community-led projects.

We regularly welcome Reverend Christine Judd to the school for assemblies and community projects. Please click here to visit the home page for St Peters and All Hallows Church, West Huntspill.

West Huntspill Primary has been nationally recognised for our commitment to sustainability and our environment. Our Eco Warriors after-school club meets throughout the year to highlight environmental concerns and implement practical steps to reduce waste and energy consumption in our school community.
